Today the breeding of canned lions destinated to hunting is an alarming problem. Internal laws of South Africa allow these establishments to operate in order to conserve those animals in the wild, thus reducing the demand for hunting in protected areas.

This strategy has clearly been unsuccessful and has created a marked mafia within the black market. Due to the high demand for species such as lion, giraffe, rhinoceros and others, the taxes directed to this market increased abruptly, so those interested in these animals resort to illegal hunting methods. In this situation we can see not only the management of private lands destined to commercialize with fauna, but through this erratic management, insitu species in a state of freedom have been threatened.

It is important to create projects and laws that create positive impacts and not that mitigate one aspect so that this implies carrying others in the future. This petition is directed to creat conscious tourism and legal implications for those who break the law. There are so many other ways to generate income for the country if we redirect tourism towards a positive eco friendly path.
