There is nothing left to discuss. Afghanistan is not safe. Everyone who wants to leave the country must be able to do so. Therefore, we appeal to the UK government: to create safe passages from Afghanistan!

Don’t think of the local staff and your embassy personnel only. Think of all people who have to live in panic-stricken fear of the Taliban and whose lives are in danger.

Create safe passages! If not, people will have to flee on their own. They will have to fight their way through deserts and internment camps. They will have to put themselves in unseaworthy boats and many - including children and families - will die on this flight.

To the UK government: you wanted to take responsibility in Afghanistan. Don't look away now and take responsibility for the people who are fleeing.

We demand from the UK government:
Create safe passages immediately and evacuate the people who tried to build a new Afghanistan!
