One thing of important note for the reboot is that it will be set in a separate continuity from the 2010 series, this might explain why the majority of the characters (except for Lucky, Cookie, Niblet, Squirt, Strudel, Rebound, and Cupcake) are likely to be recast.

A separate continuity means that a few changes will be expected, one of which means the inclusion of flashback episodes where the younger versions of Lucky, Cookie, Niblet, Squirt, and Strudel are (in addition to being voiced by children) young Pound Puppy Agents-in-Training under the guidance of Copper (Lucky's predecessor in leading Shelter 17).

Which leads into another change, one that heavily involves Lucky and Cookie's relationship for the reboot. The relationship between Lucky and Cookie will be a brother and sister style relationship. This was not the original relationship between the two characters, but I wanted the reboot to dive into a brother/sister relationship where two characters start off as having a sibling rivalry with each other and grow into seeing each other as close siblings/friends.

This is all I can say about the new continuity for now.
