Being an African student at Lowell High School, I often feel as though our community lacks representation. Our school is diverse in most aspects, yet the African community remains without a dedicated space or platform. This affects not only African students, but also limits the cultural diversity and inclusivity of our school.

The addition of an African Student Association to our many cultural clubs would provide a much-needed sense of belonging and community. This club could organize cultural events and community activities that highlight African traditions, history, and contributions to society. This would increase the cultural value of Lowell High School and create a more inclusive environment for all, taking a step towards a strong and supportive community for African students.
