Create a statue of Neil Kerley outside of Adelaide Oval.

The issue

In June of 2022, we lost the King of South Australian football - Neil “Knuckles” Kerley.

Neil was born on 20th of February in 1934 in the heart of the famous South Australian Riverland in a town called Barmera and lived his life loving everything there was about our great state from stobie polls to a great bottle of red.

He is most often remembered for coaching five teams in the SANFL and taking three of them to premiership glory including South Adelaide Panthers in 1964, West Adelaide Bloods in 1983 and Glenelg Tigers in 1973 - the latter being the last Grand Final at Adelaide Oval until 2014!

But off the field, Neil was an admired figure in Australian football with being the first team manager for the young Adelaide Crows side when they debuted in the AFL in 1991 and being a boundary commentator for many years with Channel 7.

Sadly Neil passed away in June 2022 but if you sign this petition, you will help his memory live on forever with a statue outside of the hallowed turf at Adelaide Oval where he made so many memories!
