The East Sammamish Park is located in Sammamish, WA, near TLC Montessori. Every day, children, adults, teenagers, and even seniors head to the tennis & pickleball courts hoping to have some fun.

The problem? The giant hill that you need to go down, in order to access the courts. This may sound alright, until you see the slippery mud, & rainwater all over the hill, making it almost impossible to head down without falling.

The surprising thing is that not only children and adults enjoy playing tennis & pickleball. Seniors make up a majority of the players as well, emphasizing the problem even more.

My name is Raj Sukumaran, a 10th grade Student from Eastlake High School. I noticed this problem when I saw people of all age groups struggling to get down the hill without falling. Recently, even one of my own family members slipped as well. My goal is to petition this problem to the City of Sammamish and ensure that a firm, and reliable staircase can be built in this area, to avoid future mishaps.

However, this cannot be done alone, which is why I need your help. My goal is to reach approximately 150 votes to install a staircase in this park that leads to the tennis/pickleball courts.
