Give Nuthall a Pump Track!

We believe Nuthall needs a safe, accessible and exciting pump track for children, young people and families.

We are calling on Nuthall Parish Council and the relevant local authorities to explore the possibility of creating a pump track in Nuthall and not reject the idea which happened in their last meeting.

Nuthall is a growing community with many children and young people who enjoy cycling and being active outdoors. However, there are limited facilities locally that provide a dedicated, safe place for these activities. This often means our children having to travel far to other areas which have the facilities.

A modern pump track would provide:

🚲 A safe place for children and young people to cycle
🛴 A facility for scooters, skateboards and balance bikes
🏃 An opportunity for children to be active and spend more time outdoors
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 A free activity that families can enjoy together
🤝 A positive community space for children and teenagers.

Pump tracks can be used by a wide range of ages and abilities and don’t require organised sessions or expensive equipment.

We are not asking the council to listen to residents (especially our young people) ame explore potential funding opportunities so that we can make this happen.

We want Nuthall to be a place where children and young people have somewhere positive to go, be active, socialise and develop new skills.

Our aim is to present the petition and supporting evidence to Nuthall Parish Council and work with the relevant authorities and local community to explore making a pump track a reality.
