Interstate 380 is a vital connection between the 2 main hubs in eastern Iowa. As recently as 11 days ago, at the time of writing this, there was a multi-vehicular crash.  By allowing a lane to buses or a possible light rail, we could reduce the number of accidents as well as get some of the benefits that result from public transport, like lower costs.  It would also slash the carbon footprint that we create on the interstate. It would also be especially useful for those of us who live in Cedar Rapids and work in Iowa City or vice versa.
