Establish a Dog Park & Kid’s Play Area for DP Road Residents

In the last two years, a large number of apartments have been built along DP Road including The Bluffs Senior apartments. More apartments are being planned as DP Road is expanded and work completed  

There is space south of the apartments along the canyon next to the Canyon Walk Trail for a medium-sized dog park accessible to seniors as well as a play area for children. 

At the present time, elderly owners of dogs must walk off the property at The Bluffs in order to relieve their dogs. These areas are hazardous to partially handicapped individuals.

Before someone falls and is injured following the requirements of The Bluffs, an adjacent and easily accessible Dog Park should be created.

The children in the apartments opposite The Bluffs have no easy access to safe play areas. The dog park and kid’s play area would be easily accessible to all apartment dwellers on DP Road.

This petition also includes all apartments along DP Road. Access to the Park via the Canyon Walk Trail for all residents of DP Road makes the proposal viable.
