Virginia does not yet have a blackout design for passenger license plates, while many other states offer them. This plate design would generate substantial revenue for the commonwealth and offer a unique change from the standard white plates with blue letters. The plate in the image is a proposal, and I am gathering signatures on this site because the DMV does not have an easy way to suggest a license plate design without a corporate sponsor. If this plate gets the required signatures, I will send the design and petition to the DMV, but also to a representative in local government to have a better chance at the plate being created.
