Save Our Square

We, the undersigned, oppose the plans by the Town Council to impose changes on the historic Cramlington Village Square without due diligence, information, and binding consultation.
The Village Square is within a Conservation Area, donated by the then Lord Ridley in 1922 when it was unveiled as a memorial with park and gardens. Any proposed options for change should, at the very least, include an option of ‘no change’, therefore leaving the current square in its present garden condition around the memorial.
The Village is the heart of the Cramlington Community, and it is unacceptable to impose a scheme that does not carry overwhelming support
