Craigslist specifically prohibits sales of animals and stud services, yet does not use its automated system to remove the thousands and thousands of such ads that are put up every day all over the country.  As a result dogs and cats are being over-bred, sold to people who are flipping them or selling them to research facilities, using them as bait for fighting dogs.   Millions of dogs and cats are euthanized every year as a result of overpopulation and being able to advertise for free is enabling puppy mills and backyard breeders to sell puppies and kittens that will one day end up in shelters.

The solution to this horrible sad problem is for Craigslist to stop letting the flagging  of prohibited ads up to users and do it themselves.  You possess the technology to remove prohibited ads, we respectfully request that you use it.  Please do not allow "re-homing" of animals with a small fee as that is just used as another term for selling animals.

There should be no selling or giving away of live animals and no stud services advertised on Craigslist.  Craigslist is a handy tool for many things but it's akin to animal trafficking when people are allowed to do what they're doing.  Please stop this.  Thank you.
