This petition is to make Craigslist change it's current policy regarding the selling of dogs and other animals online. Their by-laws do not allow the outright "selling" of animals, but they do allow a "re-homing" fee. Seriously? Too many people are using this website to flip dogs for profit and commit fraudulent acts to both sellers and buyers of these animals. The deception and deceit is rooted in the premise of making a quick buck at the animal's expense. The marginal care and attention given to these animals while waiting to be flipped is deplorable if not criminal. Now it has extended into outright torture and abuse toward animals found on Craigslist. This must stop now! Let Craig Newmark, the founder of Craigslist, know that he can no longer allow the sale, purchase, or giving away of pets on his website. He is responsible and an accomplice in some of these inhumane acts.
