Open a Nando's in Busselton

The Issue

The closest Nando's to Busselton is in Bunbury, which is about a 1.5 hours round-trip. This is simply not good enough.

The City of Busselton, also encompassing the prestigious localities of Dunsborough, Vasse, Eagle Bay, Geographe and Yallingup, has a population of 36,686, as shown in the 2016 census, and the region covers 1,454.8 square kilometres. Bunbury, in comparison, had a lower population of 31,919 in the 2016 census, and covers a smaller geographic area. The City is home to the iconic Busselton Jetty, the longest wooden pile jetty in the southern hemisphere at 1.84km, and attracts a significant number of tourists each year.

In addition, Busselton is constantly growing and developing, with the construction of new residential and commercial areas as well as the development of those that already exist. Current expansions include the new international airport (the fifth in WA), the Vasse suburb shopping complex and school, as well as big name stores such as Aldi and Kmart opening this year near the CBD. The town is also port to a number of cruise ships throughout the year and is considered the Events Capital of WA; hosting the annual Iron Man, Southbound, Jetty Swim, Festival of Busselton, Cinefest Oz, Pedal Prix, Busselton Show and much more.

In light of the fact that Busselton attracts a huge number of visitors each year and has a significant residential population, many of us feel that Nando’s would be making a smart decision to invest in a Busselton branch, not to mention to satisfy our thirst for the delicious and healthy items on the menu. It would then also give the town a better alternative to the local HJs, KFC, McDonalds and Red Rooster that currently dominate.

Thank you for your consideration on this.
