The city of Jefferson, IA is a small town with less than 5K people, and in small town Iowa, you would think not much would bother anyone.   Well, that is wrong.

Wild cats or feral cats as you may see them called, seem to have the city in a buzz, and because of that officers are shooting them to control the local cat population, this is the solution that the city came up with.

The Animal Rescue League of Iowa is trying to work with the city to resolve the matter, including possibly housing up to 30 cats and possibly helping to start an animal shelter, however, the city, from news reports, is in no rush to make changes, and that is why we need your help.

Kitten season is upon us, and we don't want numerous cats to die at the hands of bad decision makers.   We are open to working with Animal Rescue League of Iowa to finding a better solution for this town, but we need to work together, and everything starts with this petition.

Sign it, follow it, and we will save some lives together.  Thank you.
