Make UK legal definition of rape apply to female on male rape
The Issue
Under the Sexual Offences Act 2003 in Section 1 (Rape) it is writing in a way that only men can rape and does not view women as being able to be rapists,
I think this law is unfair as it allows one gender to get off crimes just because of they gender and in a fair society people would be treated on the actions not on the gender.
The biggest issue with this law is as a man you would end up with less support than a women as it is put under a lesser crime of sexual assault.
evidence that rape only applies to men under british law. http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2003/42/notes/division/5/1/1
evidence that sexual assault carries a light sentence than rape.
