Mi nombre es Seidy Crespo. Soy Cozumeleña y he vivido en esta isla junto con mi familia. 

Como muchos de nosotros, he visto cómo el turismo puede destruir nuestro entorno, pero
Estoy convencida que también existe el turista responsable y si les enseñamos a respetar nuestro entorno, puede generar oportunidades para nuestras familias sin perder de vista el amor y el respeto que sentimos por nuestra tierra. 
Hoy quiero invitarte a que también escuches la voz de quienes vivimos aquí.
KUZÁ Beach & Adventure Park representa una fuente de empleo para cientos de familias de Cozumel. Detrás de cada colaborador hay hijos que estudian en nuestras escuelas, comercios que dependen de la actividad económica local y personas que han encontrado una oportunidad para salir adelante sin tener que abandonar la isla.
Además de generar empleo, el parque ha impulsado acciones orientadas a la conservación y al cuidado de nuestro entorno natural. Quienes vivimos en Cozumel sabemos que nuestro mayor patrimonio son nuestros ecosistemas y que su protección debe ser una prioridad permanente para todos.
Creemos que es posible promover un turismo responsable que genere bienestar para nuestra comunidad y que, al mismo tiempo, contribuya a preservar la riqueza natural que hace único a Cozumel.
Por eso te invitamos a firmar esta petición. No para dividirnos, sino para que también se escuche la voz de trabajadores, familias, proveedores, emprendedores y ciudadanos que han visto de primera mano el impacto positivo que este proyecto puede tener para nuestra isla.
Cozumel merece diálogo, información y la participación de toda su comunidad.

My name is Seidy Crespo. I was born and raised in Cozumel, and my family has called this island home for generations.

Like many people who live here, I deeply love Cozumel and care about protecting its natural beauty. I have seen firsthand how tourism, when done irresponsibly, can harm the environment we all depend on. But I have also seen something else: when tourism is managed responsibly, it can create opportunities for local families while helping us protect the places we cherish most.

Today, I would like to invite you to listen to the voices of those of us who live here.

KUZÁ Beach & Adventure Park has become a source of employment and opportunity for hundreds of families in Cozumel. Behind every employee is a family, children attending local schools, small businesses that benefit from economic activity, and individuals who have found a way to build a future on this island without having to leave their home behind.

At the same time, the park has supported initiatives focused on environmental stewardship, conservation, education, and community engagement. Those of us who live in Cozumel understand that our greatest treasure is our natural environment, and we know that protecting it is not optional—it is our responsibility.

We believe that economic opportunity and environmental conservation can go hand in hand. We believe it is possible to create jobs, support local families, and preserve the ecosystems that make Cozumel unique.

That is why I am asking for your support.

This petition is not about creating division. It is about ensuring that all voices are heard—including the voices of local workers, families, community members, and residents who have witnessed the positive impact that responsible tourism can bring to our island.

Cozumel deserves a conversation that includes everyone.
