Careless Management Of KHARI SHARIF Shrines Under The Supervision Of AJK Government
The Issue
As- salamu Alaykum
My dear brothers and sisters,
The Azad Jammu and Kashmir Government has been turning every heritage and spiritual site into a money making scheme. Many sites throughout Kashmir have been disregarded and no proper care has been taken to restore or maintain them. A key example is Khari Sharif Darbar in which thousands of people go to visit every month, but they are welcomed with car parking fees and other schemes. It seems that a holy place such as Khari Sharif has been turned in to an industrial park where every corner has been leased for the right amount of money such as:
* The flower stall sells flowers double the price of the market rate and they also reuse the flowers once they have been on the grave( Kabar Mubarak)
* To place your shoes outside the vicinity of Darbar you will need to pay a fee for someone to hold your shoes which are easily misplaced
*The Cloth on the grave( chadder mubarak) is reused again and again, but they charge triple the amount for the same cloth which can easily be purchased elsewhere
* The cleaning and maintance of the toilet area is outsourced to an individual who has a duty to clean them but they remain dirty and filthy, which can cause many diseases for the local population and more importantly the visitors who often come with children
* The tiles have fallen of from the Shrines aswell as being discoloured which make such a blessed place into an eyesore
* Many publishers add their own piece of text in to the marvelious works done By Mian Mohammad Bukhsh RA without the permission of the custodians, which is breaking the rules of copyright.
* The drinking fountain in Darbar is very unhygienic which may be contaminated with many diseases
* The staff at the Darbar which are under the control of the government have been sleeping with their shirts off, which is unpleasant
* The staff at the Darbar are very rude and obnoxious towards visitors in which many don't return

Mian Umar Bukhsh the sitting Sajjada Nasheen has been working tirelessly to enhance the visitors experience to the Shrine and to serve the public in the best way he can
He has achieved a great amount in such a short time such as:
* Rebuilt Huzoor Pirashah Ghazi RA( Damri waley sarkar) batukk, which was often used by themselves as a place of worship
* Restored the Masalah Mubarak of Huzoor Mian Mohammad Bukhsh RA
* Distributed tonnes of Food and Water to many villages throughout Pakistan
* Built over 100 water pumps in remote villages
* He has 3 Ambulances that are currently in active service which provide a FREE Service to Everyone ( 2 more on the way)
* He has opened a Library in Kharian which is free and open to all so that the young of the generation can have an vibrant education
* He has Distributed many of his ancestors Books which have been verified and edited by himself to match the way it was written over 100 years ago
* He holds many events throughout the year in which thousands upon thousands people turn up to learn about the various teachings of Islam and learn about these pious saints and their journey closer to Allah
* He attends many events to spread the meaning of the true Islam and talks about concerning factors that will effect the next generation
* He sets up a local eye clinic for the local villagers so that they can have their eyes tested which is also free of charge
***************************** PLANNED PROJECTS********************************
- Mian Umar Bukhsh has announced that he is building a pharmacy along with a maternity ward in one of the most remote villages in kashmir which houses over 850 homes and every family has experienced a miscarriage due to the nearest hospital being 4 hours away and no medical assistance in that area. (This project is funded to 52%)
- He has also pledged to make an orphanage which is also combined in to a madrassa (islamic school), in order to shape the future children of our country and to give them an opportunity to thrive.

I AM URGING YOU MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS TO SHOW YOUR SUPPORT BY SIGNING THIS PETITION AS THE GOVERNMENT IS TRYING THEIR BEST TO STOP SUCH AN INSPIRATIONAL INDIVIDUAL AND MOVEMENT FROM HELPING THE FELLOW CITIZENS OF A BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY AND FROM MAINTAINING A HERITAGE SITE WHICH BELONGS TO HIS ANCESTORS. THE GOVERNMENT SHOULD NOT TRY AND POSE RESTRICTIONS ON SUCH A REMARKABLE INDIVIDUAL WHO HAS BEEN EFFORTLESSLY TRYING TO MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE TO LIVE IN.
