Why this petition matters

Started by David Banks

My name is David King Jr I’ve been in prison now for nine years and eight months. During these trying times in 2020. It’s been hard for everyone, Dealing with this pandemic. Unfortunately I was recently found to be positive with COVID-19, so you can only imagine how hard it’s been in a place like this but I am pushing through. I am in the process of constructing and clemency that I am released early. And I am seeking your support to help try and make this happen. While incarcerated I’ve done many things to help better myself and become an all-around better person. I don’t want my past mistakes to define who I am. Before this pandemic I was participating in this class called Foundations For Life, which access you and gives you information designed to support personal development through  personality traits. While here I’ve also managed to acquire a certificate and construction occupations. I also receive my associates degree in liberal arts graduating was a highlight of my life. Upon my release I look forward to reaching  for our youth what I’d like to call”a call to action“ not just talking but showing. I want to actually show them where to look and learn how to ask right questions if and when opportunity presents himself. I greatly appreciate you taking the time to read this and hopefully have your support in helping me move forward thank you.
