Even if you have not cooked before or can only boil eggs, there are many things you can make without breaking a sweat. Just look up some recipes on YouTube and follow them. Do not be overly ambitions if your cooking skills are not the best.
Go to a Budget Restaurant
A date in a fancy restaurant can be very expensive, however you can always go to a budget dinning place. See the menu prices here and pick a place that has good food but is not necessarily expensive. Use restaurant review sites to identify sites that are well rated and then see local offer sites like living social to see if they have any current offers.
Go to a Park
Going to a nearby park to enjoy the greenery will help you and your partner connect with nature and also let you enjoy the company of each other. You cannot have the same experience at an expensive Broadway performance. There is something in this simple experience that has the charm. This, if may say so, is an evergreen idea. Other options include going for trek or hike, biking etc.
Look Up Some Free Events
Instead of attending an expensive paid event, look up local classified listings or community boards for free events. This can be anything from a concert to a volunteering drive. Participate in these events and connect with your date at the same time.
Play a Board Game
Bring out your competitive sides by playing a board games. If you have enjoyed paying taboo or monopoly while growing up. You will sure enjoy playing it with your date. It will help you understand your date better and also will help you connect a different level.
