Stop the adoption of 'Pirates Cove' as county controlled property

Pirates Cove has a long, rich, and sometimes odd tradition of being a spot for locals and visitors alike to enjoy some of the most scenic and untouched shoreline that San Luis Obispo has to offer. While there have been many changes to this beach over the years, including the trails and ease of access, the beach has always remained a special and protected place largely due to efforts of the locals to keep it that way. Our concern that any 'adopted' improvements will only create an influx of visitors that will negatively effect the wide variety of protected wildlife that flourish in the cove. We all strongly believe that no 'ease of access' improvements to this beach need to be made and that doing so would only harm the resident wildlife and dull the magic that makes this place such a unique, beautiful, and desirable space for visitors coming for the first time and the locals that cherish it alike.
