Say No to Dunn taking over the Coats -Grove Fire Department

The Issue

A meeting was requested by Mr. Rodney Daniels, the Harnett County Fire Marshall to the Coats Grove Fire Department Chief and board members.  A proposal was presented on February 3, 2022.

Things that were discussed are as followed:

Dunn is preparing to proceed with a substation

This merger would save several hundred thousands of dollars.

The situation with the volunteers lacking in numbers and same ones responding to calls.  Dunn would have paid staff on board and would not have to rely on volunteers if the numbers continue to decline.

It is imperative that all members of the Coats community come to the March 8th meeting at the fire department at 7 p.m.  I am told that each member of the household over the age of 18 that resides in Coats or pays taxes towards the Coats Grove Fire Department will be able to cast a vote.
