There are numerous accounts of animal cruelty committed by the director of Jasper County Illinois Animal Control.  Specifically,

• Inadequate bedding for animals, including elderly and sick dogs
• Refusal to place special needs animals in temporary foster homes
• Lack of proper exercise and socialization of animals in his care.
• Refusal of cooperate with local animal rescues in placing all animals
• Refusal to attempt to locate owners of animals not chipped
• Non-existence of policies and procedures to document compliance with operating direction of Jasper County Board of Directors and Newton Illinois City Council.
• Despite multiple complaints to the director, the mayor and individual county board and city council members, no action has been taken to replace this ineffective and inhumane director.

We, the undersigned, taxpayers in Jasper County Illinois, call upon the Jasper County Illinois Board of Directors to immediately remove the Director of Jasper County Illinois Animal Control, and select a director who will restore the humane treatment of animals in our county.
