CCV HOA petition to remove Common Interest Management Services as HOA's property manager

CCV HOA petition to remove Common Interest Management Services as HOA's property manager
The Issue
Common Interest Management Services (CIMS) has failed the Country Club Vista HOA in providing satisfactory services for the needs of the homeowners. The customer service response time and follow-through takes longer than expected; often there is no call-back or response unless multiple attempts are made by homeowners. Communications from CIMS unsatisfactory. Our HOA dues pays for website communications and other electronic notices/announcements. The website, however, is not promoted well to homeowners and doesn't get updated with new homeowner information and calendar items in a timely manner. Newsletters are not published quarterly. In 2018, only two newsletters were published and were drafted by homeowners. Electronic documents produced from CIMS are often cut-and-paste media from other HOAs (view the media's document properties to view details) and often have discrepancies or typos (e.g. "two elected board members by acclamation" in published newsletter and electronic announcements with only a verbal correction by CIMS to "three elected" at the June 2019 Annual Meeting).
Other concerns: *Neighborhood issues such as HOA Tot Lot repairs, graffiti, fallen street flags are not remedied in a timely manner. *Discrepancies and issues with HOA vendor invoices are handled by HOA Board or Committee members (homeowner volunteers) and NOT by CIMS. *HOA Annual Meeting was primarily organized by homeowners, and not CIMS.
Our HOA monthly dues pays for property management services from CIMS, but what are they doing for the money we pay them? A lot of work is being done by a few homeowner volunteers, when CIMS is expected to take on these tasks. Please sign this petition to request that our HOA Board of Directors look into replacing CIMS with another property management company.
Thank you!
