CS:GO Ban System

The Issue

Valve's cooldown system for Counter-Strike is flawed. The Counter-Strike Community has suffered from this. Many people get a competitive ban for 7 days for having bad internet. There are trolls out there, but if we fix the kicking part of the ban, we can kick the trolls (and if your still scared of getting kicked they should change it from 3-4). I'v got 3, 7 day ban for stupid reasons like kicking and my computer crashing at the start of a match, and every time a 7 day ban happens the time for it to go back to 24 hours increases. Most people play Counter-Strike for fun and the 7 day ban doesn't help that. Most people don't get banned (somehow) and I respect those people, but I still encourage them to sign this petition because it will help the community alot.

Ways to Get Competitive Banned

  •    As a new player trying to get a rank, or to those who have lost there rank, if you win 2 games in 24 hours you get a 20 hour cooldown
  • Abandoning a game
  • Attacking Teammates
  • Abusing the Kick System
  • AFKing, not participating

Levels

  1. 30 Minutes
  2. 2 Hours
  3. 24 Hours
  4. 7 Days

(It takes 7 days for the cooldown to go down a rank, this doesn't include the time banned. Imagine your at a 7 day ban and you get another ban within those 7 days of playtime, you get another 7 day ban, plus it takes 14 days for the cooldown to go down to 24 hours and it keeps adding up).

Plus the Overwatch and Vac system for global bans. The Overwatch system is when a player get reported too many times in a time period a player of a better rank watches "the suspect" to determine if the reported player is hacking or not. This happens to many players and its very hard to appeal these. The Vac system is a system where the server checks your computer to try and find hacks on your computer. Many pros have had this happen to them, and I have read things where they have hacks for different games such as Minecraft and the Vac system thinks its CS:GO hacks.
