It's no time for business as usual. With less than a decade to change the way we all live, work and play, NOW is the time for real action in communities and at all levels of government.  We are not achieving this change at a national level so its up to local communities to ACT.

That's why we are calling on the Councils of South West Victoria to declare a climate emergency. 

More than 60 per cent of Australians agree that "Global warming is a serious and pressing problem." Here in Australia, it was Darebin Council in Melbourne who became the first council in the world to recognise the climate emergency in December 2016. Since then, more than 30 leading local governments have declared a climate emergency.

We are calling on our local councils to listen and prioritise climate action. We request that you declare a climate emergency by the end of 2019.
