The Hollywood Dell was once named LA Magazine's" Best Neighborhood's You've Never Heard Of" and now we are faced with an ongoing surge in crime, litter, transient encampments, and illegal dumping in the tunnels at Ivar and on Holly Dr.

We have just been informed that newly elected Councilmember David Ryu is potentially eliminating our CD4 Beautification Team here in the Dell indefinitely.  This will be disastrous for our neighborhood, AND ALL NEIGHBORHOODS IN CD4, which is already in dire need of more city assistance due to an increase in transients and lack of regularly scheduled city maintenance.

1900 N. Vine provides an iconic view of Hollywood, including the Capitol Records building, which draws tourists, film crews, partying, Uber loitering, and unfortunately a lot of other unwanted and illegal activity.  The spot has become a dumping ground for beer bottles, trash, clothing, furniture, as well as drug paraphernalia.

Please urge Councilman Ryu to provide weekly street cleaning and beautification clean-ups on Vine and in our tunnels, as well as surrounding CD4 areas.  These tunnels serve as main entrances into our neighborhood and their neglected appearances are invitations for unwanted and criminal activity that we've already felt the effects of throughout our neighborhood. Show Councilman Ryu that we care and we will not sit quietly as our neighborhood steadily deteriorates!!
