The CEO of the South Gippsland Shire (Mr Tim Tamlin) has had his way for to long and the culture is so entrenched that there needs change. The CEO makes decisions that are blatant miss management of our rates. One example is the Caravan Park disaster. Due to Mr Tamlin secret book keeping we can only go on figures in the budget and it was found that a conservative cost estimate over a 3 year period is as follows: transferred from the Surplus Account to a Special Caravan Park Reserve Account $4.3Million, employee and related costs $1.8Million, operating costs $0.15Million, legal costs $0.15Million, loss of income caravan park communities $1.2Million, council income loss $0.1Million. That is a staggering, mind boggling total of $7.7 Million, and possibly much more! It's time for the councilors that we elected do their job and dismiss the CEO and get control back.
