Save The Wildlife, please help save Moose Mountain RnR Wildlife Rehabilitation Inc.

The Issue

Moose Mountain RnR Wildlife Rehabilitation is in need of your Help! We have been licensed and providing a much needed service saving and releasing orphaned and injured wildlife for the southeast of the province of Saskatchewan for the past 10 years, we are federally and provincially licensed, five years ago we approached our RM about leasing a small loop of land on a dead end road adjoining our property for the purpose of wildlife rehabilitation so that we could expand our enclosure for the moose and deer, they agreed and we constructed a 5000.00 enclosure, our lease comes up this fall and we made arrangements to go in to renew, literally walking into a hornet's nest, we find the one neighbour who moved in here 4 years ago is trying to shut us down, complaints to the Rural Municipality plus the Ministry of Environment which brought on recently surprise inspections to which we passed, but without our lease renewal and RM approval for our charitable work,we will be forced to close! A statement made by a supervising officer of the ministry on Friday night was, you do good work here, without this facility we would've had no where to send the twin moose calves whose mother was a road fatality, in years past to euthanize these unfortunate orphans was the only option, we have been successfully taking these orphans in, keeping them wild and releasing them the the following spring. We have no time to wait till Dec. to see if the RM will vote in our favour, we cannot release animals in he middle of winter, please sign our petition, write and call before the next RM meeting which is Sept.8 if you support our cause, we need your help now or southeast Saskatchewan will be without our centre and the wildlife loses.
