Thank you supporters for your much appreciated signatures.
Keep posting on social media PLEASE.
17/07/2018 the Bromsgrove Standard Newspaper came to take photos of parents and children from Catshill Middle School and “LOLLI” the Lollipop Lady in supporting the petition. Fingers Crossed it will be published for Friday Newspaper. Keep out for it!
One of the parents supporting this petition and my inspiration for this, has allowed me to breifly explain this story.
Several years ago, her eldest son attempted to cross the road outside his Birmingham school. No school Crossing Patrol? It became the worst day of her life. Her son was run over and severe injuries, air ambulance to the hospital. He had a year off school and made a full recovery. However as a family they will always suffer the mental and physical scars for life. “I would never wish this on any other parent and Meadow Road is 3 times busier than my son school” she said.
After campaigning with a petition of 4000 signatories, the school now have speed ramps installed outside.
My petition is to ensure the safety of all children using this crossing with the Lollipop Lady, it is imperative it remains.
Please keep promoting this petition, especially through the summer holiday period.
Thank you to the Parent Beccy for designing the Notice Board, for the Bromsgrove Standard Newspaper.
Thank you all, Helen
* I have full permission for the photo attached on my update by the mother stated above Mrs Julie Hales. It is a very upsetting photograph but it makes the petition more vital.
