Unbeknown to many in Maidenhead, the town is home to one of the original small bore rifle clubs whose history can be traced back over 110 years.

We currently have over 130 members and are active in bringing new people into the sport in a safe and controlled environment. Our membership includes past and present national squad members and champions as well as those of us who just enjoy the sport of target shooting at club level.

Unfortunately all this could be coming to an end as the council ploughs on with it's radical redevelopment of the Braywick Park Sports Fields. Our neighbours on the golf driving range are set to become the new home of the Magnet Leisure Centre whilst we have been ear marked for a school. Both of these projects will see greenbelt land redeveloped and a usage change for the sports fields which does not bode well for the future of the other clubs on the site.
