Leverhulmes are proposing an astonishing 7754 house on 416ha of Green Belt Land.

They have already submitted planning applications for 1000+ houses on eight green belt sites and these were refused by the Council. However, they have appealed the decision and there will no be a Public Inquiry over 25 days from May to July.

In addition, Leverhulmes are part of the "Wirral Development Consortium", a consortium of housebuilders and landowners who are challenging the Council's "Brownfield Only" Local Plan. These housebuilders made £3.9BILLION profit between them last year and they can easily afford to engage expensive legal and planning experts to argue their case at the public hearings. 

Can you help Wirral Green Space Alliance, raise AT LEAST £40,000? We have already engaged legal and planning experts to challenge the Developers ON YOUR BEHALF. However, the number of days at which we can have expert representation at the Public Hearings will depend entirely on the generosity of the public.

We want to have expert representation at BOTH the Local Plan Examination AND the Leverhulme Public Inquiry - but fees are very expensive. We are now fighting Leverhulmes on two fronts. Some may say that Leverhulmes have deliberately timed their Planning Application and Appeal so that the subsequent Inquiry comes at a similar time to the Local Plan Examination. You may be forgiven for thinking that they are timed to coincide, so as to deliberately drain any opposition of time, energy resources AND MONEY!
