Dear Supporters,

LEVERHULMES ARE PROPOSING TO BUILD 275 HOUSES ON GREEN BELT LAND OFF GILLS LANE, PENSBY - WE NEED YOU TO REGISTER YOUR OBJECTIONS!

Leverhulme Estates have already submitted ““Screening and Scoping Requests” for Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) to the Council and plan to submit planning applications in the near future.

Yes we need you to sign the petitions but we REALLY NEED YOU TO OBJECT to the submissions on the Council Planning Website using the links below.

Currently there are just 10 objections recorded against the development East of Dale View Close, just 2 objections recorded against the development East of Thorncroft Drive and just 1 objection recorded against the Development West of Barnston Road. We need to be flooding the Council Planning website with objections – it takes just a few minutes.

Click on each of the links below

Click on the Blue Comments Box

Fill in your details and click “Objects” in the stance box – please note your address (but not your name) and your stance will be displayed on-line.

It would be really helpful (but not essential) if you could add comments in the comments box too. Comments about the following issues are useful as these are what Environmental Impact Assessments cover and Leverhulmes highlight in their submissions:

Population and Human Health, Transport and Access, Landscape and Visual Impact, Cultural Heritage, Ecology, Noise, Air Quality, Agriculture / Land, Flood Risk and Drainage and Climate Change.

Worryingly, Leverhulmes propose not to include Flood Risk / Drainage and Climate Change in their EIA. This land is close to the source of Prenton Brook and could increase flood risk in the Prenton Brook and Fender Valley. At a time of worsening climate catastrophe the negative effects of increased traffic, pollution, loss of food producing land and the destruction of wildlife is also very concerning.

It is often easier to type out your comments in a Word document (or similar) and copy and paste them into the comments box – this avoids time out errors and loosing your comments before submission.

Once you have submitted all your comments and info, press submit. It takes just a few minutes.

More information about Leverhulmes proposals can be found by clicking on the links below, clicking the highlight box next to documents and clicking download documents.

Ultimately it wont be the Council who decide whether the Green Belt can be released, it will be the Local Plan Inspector. Please donate to the Wirral Green Space Alliance Legal Fighting Fund so that we can have legal representation to challenge the Developers at the Local Plan Inspection.

Please ask your friends and neighbours to object and donate too. Thanks for your support.
