Dear Supporters,
As you may be aware the pupils of Greasby Junior School are so worried about proposals to build houses on the Green Belt in Greasby and across Wirral that they have decided to make their voices heard by producing a video.
Year 4 Teachers, Miss McNee and Miss Brown, rewrote the words to "Big Yellow Taxi" and filmed the children singing it. The video has been sent to the Wirral Globe and the Liverpool Echo, but so far they have decided not to give the video any publicity.
The video is on youtube:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4OFqoK_TSsg
We think that this is a fantastic "local interest" story and the press should be giving it more attention. We also think that the school and the children deserve more credit than they have had up to now. (The Head of the school and all the parents have given their permission for the video to be shared).
So, we are asking for your help to get the video the publicity it deserves. Please will you share the video on social media (facebook twitter etc) but more importantly please will you send the video to as many media contacts as you can think off e.g local press, local radio, local tv and also the national press.
There are some media contact emails below to get you started. If you can think of any other contacts please send the video to them too.
It really is important that as many people as possible send this to the Media to make them take notice. (Please don't leave it to someone else to do - they may be leaving it to you) So please help our local children to SAVE OUR GREEN BELT by spending just 10 minutes sending this video to as many people in the media as possible.
Thank you for your help and support!
