The Issue

On December 30th of 2015 in Richmond, BC, Yogi the rottweiler cross was tied to a tree by a young woman whom he then attacked out of anxiety and fear from previous abuse. Unfortunately Yogi damaged the woman's arm along with multiple bites to her body. Yogi should not be blamed for this event due to previous treatment from said woman while high on narcotics. The owners Lucas MacNeil and Kati Mather are known drug addicts who have a history of threatening the dog while under the influence. Yogi was taken out of his house without permission from the owner, Lucas Macneil. A responsible pet owner wouldn't leave their pet in the hands of someone incapable of caring for it. Lucas MacNeil has stated that his dog isn't allowed to leave his home without him being present but that shows how the dog is being raised to be currently unsociable. This was the first time Yogi has shown any aggressive behaviour towards humans or other animals..Please dont euthanize Yogi due to poor ownership, instead have him rehabilitated in hopes to find a new forever home.
