Complete destruction 😡. Cost the owner $15,000 to replace the awning no compensation from the council. That Plane tree was removed in January 2025 due to dying 😇. This tree had cost the owner over $3000 per year in leaf removal from his roofs but due to the endless leaf and achene drop even 12 cleans a year was not enough to prevent gutters being blocked and internal flooding costing the owner over $60,000 in repairs in 2023 😡. This is why you do not plant Plane trees or in fact any other deciduous trees that will spread above awnings unless you’re a complete and utter moron! If a deciduous tree is planted near an awning “Pollarding” is required and this never happened the council dropped the ball again. But community ignorance by trusting the council will always do the right thing is ultimately the biggest problem! It’s time to set them straight!
