This petition is addressed to all european institutions: we can’t stand here watching the umpteenth tyrant who – gripped by some expansionistic fever – decides to kill thousand of innocents.

We are tired of crying the victims, this time we we want to do everything we can to prevent an useless war against defenceless women, men, kids and elders.

This is one of these challenges that tests the strength, the unity and the deeper meaning of the European Union; this situation will help establish whether the EU has only economic values as common elements or has indeed the power of reuniting countries in the name of the safeguard of human rights in the entire world. We want an European Union firm and solid in its role of standard-bearer of the fundamental rights in the entire world, able to stand in defence of the weakest and poorest countries and people of the world – differently of what other countries are doing today.

What is happening in Turkey these days is a huge outrage and a clear breach of the basic human rights, and therefore we request the entire EU to make its position clear and to give an ultimatum to Turkey, an ultimatum that – if not accepted – must impose heavy sanctions to both the country and whoever support it.
