Like in any other society, Afghan women are the one half of their society. Therefore, good governance is dependent on the dynamic cooperation and participation of women in all disciplines. No society can be built in the absence of women. Concerning this issue, Afghan Women’s political participation in the governmental body is essential.

We, Afghan women, stress all our social and political rights reserved in the body of any Afghan system.

Unfortunately, the Taliban have so far proved that they recognize no rights for women in their system, therefore, we call on the international society to be alerted and do not recognize the Taliban movement unless they illustrate a great level of respect and support for all basic and societal rights of Afghan women as well as safeguarding their political participation in all decision-making process in the system.

Thus, Afghan Women Political Participation Network together with all women around the world emphasizes consolidation, protection, and upholding all the rights of Afghan women as legitimate citizens of Afghanistan. A brief of our demands:

1.      The right to unconditional education in schools and universities and enjoying all education opportunities equal to male fellows.

2.      Active and non-gendered participation in all financial, political, legal, social, and cultural fields

3.      Participation of qualified women in the decision-making process and their political presence in the body and high levels of the system such as ministries, deputies, departments, etc.

4.      Freedom of speech for women and their active participation in both national and international arenas

5.      All women employments should immediately return to the respected offices on their positions

6.      Formation of a cabinet in absence of women should be disqualified by all women and international organizations.

Som i alla andra samhällen är afghanska kvinnor hälften av sitt samhälle. Därför är en god förvaltning beroende av kvinnors aktiva samarbete och deltagande inom alla discipliner. Inget samhälle kan byggas i frånvaro av kvinnor. Därför är afghanska kvinnors politiska deltagande i regeringsorganen avgörande.

Vi, afghanska kvinnor, betonar att våra sociala och politiska rättigheter ska garanteras i alla afghanska system.

Tyvärr har talibanerna hittills bevisat att de inte erkänner kvinnors rättigheter i sitt system. Därför uppmanar vi det internationella samfundet att inte erkänna talibanrörelsen om de inte visar respekt och stöd för afghanska kvinnors grundläggande rättigheter samt skyddar deras politiska deltagande i alla beslutsprocesser i systemet.  

Således betonar afghanska kvinnors politiska deltagarnätverk tillsammans med alla kvinnor runt om i världen behovet av konsolidering, skydd och upprätthållande av alla afghanska kvinnors rättigheter som legitima medborgare i Afghanistan. En kort sammanfattning av våra krav:

1.      Rätten till ovillkorlig utbildning i skolor och universitet och alla möjligheter till utbildning lika med manliga stipendiater.

2.      Aktivt och jämlikt deltagande på alla finansiella, politiska, juridiska, sociala och kulturella områden

3.      Deltagande av kvalificerade kvinnor i beslutsprocessen och deras politiska närvaro i regeringen och höga nivåer i systemet som ministerier, avdelningar etc.

4.      Yttrandefrihet för kvinnor och deras aktiva deltagande på både nationella och internationella arenor

5.      Alla kvinnliga anställda bör omedelbart återinsättas på sina ursprungliga positioner

6.      Inrättandet av ett kabinett i frånvaro av kvinnor bör underkännas av alla kvinnor och internationella organisationer.

Afghanska kvinnor ska inte gå bakåt i tiden.
