Objection to Architects Amendment Bill 2018
Objection to Architects Amendment Bill 2018
The Issue
This petition is against the proposed amends to the Architect Acts which includes a mandatory one year training period post graduation .
As you are already aware, all architecture students are already subjected to one year internship period during the 5 year course wherein we train and work under established architects and gain experience and knowledge about the work of an architect along with its duties .
This internship period provides us with the perfect platform to gain practical knowledge on this subject and an ADDITIONAL year of training post graduation won't add any value to a student's learning curve while prolonging the duration of the course.
I assure you that the additional one year of training is NOT required and would only cause unnecessary prolongation of the course.
I hope that this proposed change is not implemented as it would not serve in the best of interest of the future architects.
Thanks and Regards
