CA has the third strictest vaccine mandates and some of the highest vaccine rates in the country. Our current laws are ample. The proposed bill SB 276 unnecessarily attacks the doctor-patient relationship, medical freedom, and children with medical issues (a statistically insignificant 0.7% of the population), and would NOT significantly increase vaccination rates. Medical decisions should be in the hands of doctors and their patients, and this puts those decisions in the hands of the state.

This petition is neither for nor against vaccines. This petition is for those who believe the best people to make your medical decisions are your doctor and you, and that the state should not interfere with the patient-doctor relationship.
