Costco said over 10 years ago they would stop selling eggs from caged hens. While they do supply eggs that are organic as well as cage free the majority of their eggs are not. A battery cage is a 9 by 9 INCH wire basket a hen spends her entire life in. Her bones and muscles waste away from lack of use. They have nothing to stand on but wire. There are cages above them and below them. With Hellman's and even Burger King pledging to go cage free, what's holding back Costco? It's time they led the way again. Or at least began following the ethical standard BURGER KING (!) Has set. Please sign my petition to get Costco to stop selling eggs from caged hens. The cruelty has to stop!
