Costco selling earth friendly toilet paper

The Issue

Costco's Kirkland brand receives an "F" score by National Resources Defense Council (NRDC) on toilet paper sustainability.

More than 1 million acres of carbon-storing boreal forests are clear-cut each year, in part to make toilet paper. Using 100% virgin forest fiber is a threat to Indigenous communities and wildlife, and by extension, a threat to our environment and climate.  One way to help stop this destruction is to switch over to recycled toilet paper.

As a major retail/wholesale outlet Costco can and should change over to, or at the very least, offer recycled toilet paper.

It's an easy and right thing to do.
