Quit sponsoring the Ameriprise Insurance for homeowners because it discriminates against homeowners with dogs like German Shepards, Pitbulls, Rotweillers and other breeds. It also discriminates against homeowners with multiple dogs and farm animals.

This is important because many home owners are finding it more difficult to obtain homeowners insurance that accept their breed of dog. People are forced to make a decision to have a roof over their head or give up their beloved pets! As a result, many dogs are given up to shelters and end up being euthanized. Not only does Ameriprise black list many breeds of dogs, but multiple dogs and farm animals as well. This is grossly unfair. There are other insurance companies that do not discriminate against certain breeds and better ways for insurance companies to minimize risk than by forcing families to give up their beloved dogs and way of life.
As a Costco Executive Member, I request that Costco demand that Ameriprise stop discriminating against dog breeds and farm animals or immediately replace them with another insurance company. If insurance companies want to reduce risk they can require dog owners and their pets to go through obedience training or provide proof of canine good citizenship certification.
Costco sells large quantities of dog food, dog beds, treats, supplements and even dog prescriptions. Therefore, they have a moral obligation to promote service companies that foster animal welfare and do not discriminate or black list dogs based on numbers or breed.
I urge people to sign this petition to demand that Costco stop partnering with insurance companies that black list certain dog breeds and farm animals for home insurance purposes. Help keep homeless dogs out of shelters and euthanization!
