Hello Astorians, 

Astoria is an amazing neighborhood to many residents and community wildlife. Unfortunately there is a fellow neighbor in our community, who has been getting away with abuse and murder of our wildlife and domestic family members! It seems he has placed poison and traps on his and neighboring property to strangle any unfortunate animal who crossed the deadly path. On October 15th 2015, a sanitation call was made to 311 because of 12 dead animals found on his property! On June 20th I personally rescued a strangling opossum, and the week before a local cat. Both were being strangled and suffered injuries. Regardless of photos, video, witnesses, police reports and verbal confession from the individual, justice has yet to be served. Astoria does not stand behind murdering innocent animals.
