It has been brought to my attention that there is a cosplayer who has been commissioning people to make his costumes and provide him with progress photos for the purpose of entering competitions.

As a cosplayer and artist myself, after careful observation I could not resist speaking out about this blatant violation of artistic integrity.

He has changed his username/alias countless times to avoid the backlash. He is known for his Diablo costume worn at Supercon and Holiday Matsuri, but this costume was originally made by eternalcreativity_id and Lim Cosplay. 

He has now claimed to have created his most recent "Warhammer 40k Abbadon" costume. From a close look at his page, you can see that everything is posted in bursts. His progress photos are all blurry. He cannot answer a single question without questioning or making an excuse. 

This is unfair to those who work so hard to create their costumes. Something like this should not be allowed at a global competition. 

There is undeniable proof that he has stolen costumes in the past, and his responses to being questioned give away his position. Artistic integrity is no joke. He doesn't deserve to win any awards for work that isn't his. 

We can solve this together by signing this petition. From there, I hope that Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo as well as ReedPOP, the company that runs the Global Championships of Cosplay, will see this and take action. We can ensure that this never happens again.
