To stop the killing and get people there that care about them.

The Issue

This is important because their are to many useless deaths there has been two found the last two days in their area. They do nothing to get the word out their prices are higher than most shelters so people that would make loving pet owners are unable to save one or two because of prices. Which then cause breading that is unnecessary for people to give a forever home the problem with that is there is no screening they just give them to whom ever and then half of them do end up in the shelter. This is not their fault why should they be sentenced to death because of a human's mistake. they should not the shelter needs to be a no kill and needs new people in it and running things this can not continue to happen the public will not stand for it and we need to show them that.

So long as people breed their dogs and allow them to breed, the shelter will never be no-kill. You can try to put the blame on who ever you choose, but the reason the shelter euthanizes is because people breed and allow pets to breed. There is an endless supply coming in. Saying the shelter should be no-kill and signing a petition is pointless. Only the community can change it, and words don't do it. To be part of the solution, you must get your pets fixed. Period. And, by the way, the euthanasia rate at this shelter has dropped by over 35% in the past 4 years.
