Correct colonial mistakes. Return Koh-i-Noor diamond
Why this petition matters
When we locate a stolen item, what do we do? We try to get the item back in possession of the owner, right? We have the stolen item being paraded in plain sight by those who stole it, and yet, the world has been mum about it. Appalling, isn’t it? We are talking about the world’s most valuable diamond: Koh-i-noor, the ‘mountain of light’.
Certified at 191 carats(recut to 105.6 carats), the diamond was mined at Kollur mines in India in 17th century. Well, it is currently set in the crown of the departed queen of England and is often on display in Windsor castle. Irony is many Indian folks pay to get tickets to see the acquired wealth on display, further contributing to the “commonwealth”. Seems to us this is a good time to return the diamond to India, don’t you all agree?
We would like to raise a petition through this platform as a sincere request to King Charles III to kindly reach into his lost-&-found (ahem…stolen & found) stash and return the treasured diamond to the rightful place. In return, imagine how much love, respect and blessings a billion and a half people can shower on you (hint: quite a lot).
Please sign this petition and support King Charles’ return of Kohinoor diamond to India. Remember the blessings from the billion-and-a-half.
