The 'Assembly' is asking for evidence someone actually was ticketed for radio use. Evidence of this would go a long way to convince them that the law really DID cause unintended consequences. 1. Has anyone been ticketed for violation of 23123.5 for use of their two-way radio? Can we get the details? The citation probably won't say 'radio' or 'microphone' so we have to trust the claim the ticket was issued for that. If shy, a redacted copy of the citation would be OK. 2. We'd like copies of any/all posts, memos, etc. from any law enforcement agency indicating that they interpret the law to cover radio use, and that they intend to cite for it. (I have one such statement, I've seen others but cannot remember where they were posted.) Any publicly available law enforcement statements will help prove what started all of this and might drive getting official retractions or a clearer proper memo from high level law enforcement leadership. Better if we know which agency, division, official etc. issued the statement.
