The much loved soap opera Coronation Street has changed over recent months from being an entertaining show reflecting northern humour with a touch of drama. Now we are bombarded with hard core storylines, two brutal murders of the kind seen in violent X rated movies. Very sexualised scenes before the nine o'clock watershed and most recently pretty graphic scenes depicting the run up to an act of buggery. It is quite a regular thing for a warning as to "disturbing scenes" before most episodes. Under the guise of "highlighting important issues" it seems that the producer Kate Oates is merely providing such content for her own amusement. Please show some respect for Coronation Street viewers ITV and sack Kate Oates now.
