After many years of campaigning to make Beacon road a safer road, Still nothing has been done about the massive issue of cars driving at extremely high speeds and even overtaking on This residential road.
Beacon road is heavily used by pedestrians, School students from nursery years to secondary school, Dog walkers, Runners and Cyclists. 
After a very sad accident on Beacon Road last week with our dear family friend sustaining life changing injuries, although this wasn’t caused by speed this time, it just highlights how dangerous this road is.

I think we need to use this as a wake up call to act now and do something about this problem before the inevitable happens, being a fatality on this dangerous road! 

We now want to see traffic calming measures been brought into place. The reduction in speed limit from a 30mph to a 20mph and an electronic Radar speed warning sign on the hill of Beacon Road.

Making these changes to Beacon road will seriously reduce the chances of a fatality and make the road much safer for both pedestrians and road users.
